I learned to ski when I was three years old at badger pass just South of Yosemite National Park. Ever since then I've loved to ski. My favorite type of skiing is deep powder snow on fat skis or off piste with interesting features and things that jump off of. We've had icon passes for mammoth ski resort for the last 10 years. However, our favorite thing is to take ski resort road trips and hit as many of the resorts that are covered on the icon ski pass as possble.
I even spent the winter up in Jackson Wyoming one year working as a lifty running the Aprevous and Teewinot chairs. That winter was cold as hell, but so fun. Living cheap with my best cousin Grant, skiing the steep and deep terrain of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort most days. Drinking cheap pitchers of beer at the town meeting every Tuesday in downtown Jackson, seeing some amazing bands, and two stepping more than my fair share at the Million Dollar Cowboy bar, and the Stage Coach in Wilson on Sundays.
A couple of years back we took a ski resort road trip, Andrea my wife, myself , and Marley our pet yorkie. We had a 2 wheel drive sprinter van that I built out for the trip and spent about a month hitting some of my favorite ski destinations. Including Mammoth Mountain, Jackson Hole Wyoming, steam Boat springs Colorado, And then into the fabled Canadian powder highway.
As we skied our way into the Canadian powder highway, we hit amazing resorts like whitewater, red mountain, and we're really trying to make its revelstoke at the top of the Canadian powder highway. The quirky ski towns were amazing and we skied some super deep powder and great resorts along the way. However,my 2 wheel drive sprinter van with chains wasn't ideal for such a long extended winter trip.
Andrea my wife is one of the better skiers I've ever known, and is better than most of my guy friends combined which is cool. Now our young kids Kyler 4 years old and Riley two years old are learning to ski at June lake mountain this season. These future and current ski trips are the inspiration for many of my ski T shirt designs that I've hand drawn over the years. We hope that you love some of the funny, quirky, ski culture inspired T shirts and designs that we've come up with through our years of ski adventures.
If you like some of the designs and ideas that we're exploring, and some of our funny ski T shirts, feel free to reach out and connect with me or hook up with us for some deep powder turns at Mammoth Mountain. If you have some interesting ideas or would like to collaborate on a ski T shirt design we're always open to it and looking for new and interesting ideas and ski culture colloquialisms to explore.
I hope to see you out on the mountain getting fresh powder face shots and having a ball one of these winters soon. Don’t worry, we wont be holding up half of Canada anymore as we upgraded into a 170 4x4 sprinter van for our future ski resort road trips.
Yours in spreading winter snow ski and winter sports stoke!
